De route naar quantumvoordeel voor goud

Quantum advantage voor goud vraagt meer dan veel qubits of een geslaagde job. De quantum- en klassieke routes moeten dezelfde fysische taak, dezelfde nauwkeurigheid en een eerlijk tijdsbudget hebben.

Wanneer mogen we “voordeel” zeggen?

  1. Bevries één complete taak, bijvoorbeeld een spectrale of transportobservable met fouttolerantie.
  2. Importeer de materiaal-Hamiltoniaan, dipolen en gescreende interacties zonder kleurfit.
  3. Toon een overlapregime waarin quantum en de sterkste klassieke methoden overeenkomen.
  4. Meet QPU-actieve tijd, shots, compilatie, mitigatie en mislukte pogingen volgens hetzelfde protocol.
  5. Vergelijk met symmetrie-bewuste exacte methoden, Krylov, tensor networks en deeltjes-gatmethoden.
  6. Schaal pas daarna voorbij het klassiek bereik en behoud een interne verificatiestrategie.

De huidige conclusie

De 24-qubit resultaten tonen technische haalbaarheid en een nuttige mitigatievergelijking. Ze tonen geen quantumvoordeel. Een eerste mogelijke grens ligt rond 48–60 qubits, maar “mogelijk” is geen extrapolatie en zeker geen claim. De 56-qubitroute is fysisch interessanter door een expliciet optisch kanaal, terwijl de 60-qubit routingstest juist laat zien dat qubitaantal zonder dieptecontrole weinig betekent.

Vooruitzicht: de waarde van deze serie is dat de volgende stap falsifieerbaar is. Een materiaalafgeleide 48/56-qubit Hamiltoniaan moet eerst de kleine klassieke overlaptests en hardware-routingpoorten halen. Als dat niet lukt, is dat eveneens een wetenschappelijk resultaat.
Claimgrens. Er is nog geen quantum advantage voor goud gerealiseerd. De huidige gegevens definiëren een geloofwaardige route en de experimenten die nodig zijn om zo’n claim later wel of niet te rechtvaardigen.
